The Radiology Department is integral to modern healthcare, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to accurately diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This department plays a critical role in visualizing the internal structures of the human body, offering essential insights into diseases and abnormalities.
Our department utilizes a wide range of imaging modalities, each tailored to provide the best view of the body’s internal systems:
Radiologic Technologists (also called Radiographers) are responsible for operating imaging equipment and obtaining high-quality medical images.
Diagnostic Radiologists or Reporting Radiographers interpret the images, providing detailed reports on the findings. These reports are sent to the referring clinicians for further diagnosis or treatment.
Interventional Radiology
Beyond diagnosis, Interventional Radiology uses imaging technologies to guide minimally invasive procedures. These include treatments such as stent placements, biopsies, and drainage procedures, often leading to quicker recovery times and fewer complications compared to traditional surgery.
Image Storage and Access
All medical images are stored securely in a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), allowing for easy access, comparison, and review by healthcare professionals across our network, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.
Through the combination of advanced imaging techniques, expert interpretation, and secure data management, our Radiology Department provides essential support in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring a wide variety of health conditions.
